![]() ![]() It all points to a shoddy PC port, and Steam users have criticised Koei Tecmo for it. The Soft Engine helped make character skin look softer, according to Koei Tecmo, and it's missing from the PC version's official features list.ĭead or Alive 5 Last Round launched on console on 20th February 2015, with the PC version being delayed by over a month. PC gamers have also noticed the Steam version appears to have dropped the Soft Engine, too, which developer Team Ninja used to create the PS4 and Xbox One version of the game. There's no keyboard control customisation support, either. Meanwhile, the Steam version FAQ confirms there are no Steam achievements, and the game does not support Steam Cloud. For some reason the Danger Zone and Crimson stages are not included. Shadows, which you can toggle on or off, are equivalent to the PS4 version. In the official product information page for the Steam version of the game, Koei Tecmo lists the "effects" as being "equivalent to the PS3 version". Until then, the game is discounted 10 per cent. This is expected to arrive in the form of a patch "within three months following the game's release", Koei Tecmo said. In its announcement, publisher Koei Tecmo pointed to the PC version's support for resolutions up to 4K as well as antialiasing compatibility.īut the PC version does not include online multiplayer. New update and DLC added in first post. The PC version of fighting game Dead or Alive 5 Last Round launches today on Steam without a number of key features. Thanks to gatto tom and to the folks on SteamUG. SFV, Tekken 7, KOF14 are also fun but when I play these other fighting games I tend to be more serious than relaxed coz their game mechanics are a lot more complex and meant for a more competitive audience IMO. I can sit, relax and play purely for fun. (I dont have nude mods and that pole dance thing if you're not convinced). They're beautiful and nice to look at and that's a fact. I honestly dont mean this in a perverted way. Ok, I gotta say it, the girls in this game are beautiful. ![]() I played SFV, Tekken 7, KOF14, I guess I got used to playing too much DOA5 that I keep coming back and personally, this game has the best collection of awesome looking mods. A modding community will never die as long as people continue to play the game and there are dedicated modders to keep it alive. Real life is also an issue, like me, I still have unfinished mods for this game but barely have the time to finish them due to work and studies. Only those who remain faithful to DOA5 still continue to mod this game. It'll always be easier to say swap a texture then overhaul a user interface or completely rewrite a characters move data.Ī number of fighting games came out this year so most of the DOA5 modders switched to those games. Why? Because have more capable people and more knowledge to solve problems is a win for everyone. There will always be fewer people willing to work than those who just want a hand out, so sometimes modders keep to themselves if they are inundated with excessive requests or drama, but they do tend to be helpful when there's legit effort being demonstrated to learn. ![]() It's hard work, some people make it look easy, but it's because they've had to work at it and they get better at it. It's creativity and problem solving which aren't traits restricted to modding. The short answer is 'They aren't, they make themselves' There are no educational programs for modding because it's an underground art often with little or no support for the developers who make the games leaving people to craft their own methods to make their creative ideas a reality.Īnyone who actually wants to mod has to go through the same process, have an idea, look for solutions to make it happen, ask when stuck, try things, try new things when those things don't work, persist, achieve modding. Not sure if you're trying to more philosophical, humorous or sarcastic. Alpha920 wrote:answer me this then, how are modders born? ![]()
